Prosecute; don't perpetrate is a campaign that aims to help end impunity for sexual violence in armed conflict. They are calling on the Australian government to investigate and prosecute sexual violence as war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide perpetrated by Australian Da'esh fighters in Iraq and Syria. Sexual violence has been used as a weapon of war, constituent of genocide and in crimes against humanity by Da’esh in Iraq and Syria. Tens of thousands of fighters have travelled from countries where such offences are criminalised. What if those countries simply prosecuted the perpetrators?
